My 4 course Renaissance Guitar with tied frets and a scale length of 550mm. Standard cut rosette (upgrade incised and inlaid rosette with parchment shown on right). Strung with La Bella brand Renaissance guitar strings and nylon tied frets. My standard finish for this instrument is an oil varnish (upgraded French Polish shown). I usually brace for Course 4 as an octave, course 3 as and 2 as unisons, and course 1 being a single chantrel. Braced for re-entrant tuning of either gCEA or fBDG (gut).
